Sleep@Work

Sleep related fatigue is a common challenge in today's society. The challenge lies in the complex relationship between an employee's own personnel lifestyle and the occupational factors that may impact on an employee's excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS).

AlphaOne®'s Sleep@Work program utilises the 8 step approach to ensure all factors likely to influence an employee's EDS are identified allowing for the following focus areas to be targeted specific to the organisation and its industry.:

  1. Organisational Strategies: policy, procedures, employee performance management

  2. Team: group education providing evidence based education on sleep physiology, bio-rhythms, sleep hygiene and strategies for improving sleep quality especially for those experiencing changing sleep patterns

  3. Supervisor: how to manage employees with EDS in line with an organisations own policy & procedures

Mind@Work

Stress (& mental health problems) are significant contributors to employee health & productivity.

Stress itself is affected by a complex relationship between an employee's personal, occupational (e.g. demand vs. control, leadership, meaningfulness etc) and environmental (policy, procedures, support) factors.

Therefore to address mental health in the workplace you need a program that addresses each level. The Mind@Work program not only provides employees with evidence based skills in dealing with stress and other mental health problems but also includes an environmental component that identifies dimensions of job strain which may be having an impact.

The program also provides supervisor / manager education on mental health issues, how to recognise employees who may require assistance and strategies on who to manage employees dealing with mental health problems.
